Exciting things have been happening at JCU! We are excited to welcome our new Head of Dentistry, Professor Neil Meredith. Professor Meredith completed his BDS, MSc and PHD at the Eastman Dental Institute in London. He has also been awarded a second PhD from The University of Gothenburg for working in the field of Resonance Frequency Analysis and dental implant stability. He is also the founder of the Neoss company, in which he was the CEO from 2000-2011. He returned to academia by teaching at the University of Queensland, before joining us here at JCU. We welcome Professor Neil Meredith and wish him the best at JCU. 

 

JCU is excited to host the Australian Dental Student Convention this year in Cairns. The committee is working hard planning the week, and making sure that it is the best week of 2015. Tons has been planned, including a trip to our next-door neighbour: The Great Barrier Reef. We look forward to seeing you all from 7 - 12 July, 2015.
