Curtin University

 

Named after the influential former Prime Minister of Australia, John Curtin, Curtin University is the largest and most multicultural university in Western Australia. It has been recognized and ranked as the 26th most international university in the world and 2nd in Australia according to the Times Higher Education list of 200 most international universities.

 

The Department of Dental Hygiene and Therapy is part of the School of Biomedical Sciences located at Oral Health Centre of Western Australia, a state-of-the-art dental teaching and learning facility in partnership with the oral health care clinic, the only institution in WA offering tertiary training in dentistry. OHT is also studied at dedicated facilities at the Bentley Campus and Mount Henry Dental Health Services clinic. Curtin OHT students also have access to a strong collection of dental resources at the UWA Medical and Dental Library.

 

The Curtin Stadium offers a variety of sporting and recreational activities throughout the year and everyone can join, not just students. The fitness centre is equipped with the latest gear and run sessions to fit everyone’s schedule. The stadium also offers a range of social sports and Australian Uni Games which go on to compete in the annual AUG competition.

 

Amongst other services available the Curtin Student Guild provides educational, commercial and social services to its members aimed to support their adjustment to tertiary studies and life at university.
