The Bachelor of Dental Science program commenced in 2009. It is committed to bridging the gap in oral health services in rural and regional communities. CSU has dental clinic facilities in Orange, Wagga Wagga, Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst and Dubbo campuses.

 

The CSU Student Dental Association (SDA) was founded in 2010 and represents over 200 dentistry students at CSU. The SDA is a strong supporter of CSU’s motto: “For the Public Good”. It offers students numerous academic and social activities during the academic year.

 

SDA’s first major event for the year is the SDA Wine Mixer and BBQ which is usually well attended and provides an opportunity to mingle with fellow dental students. This is closely followed by one of the gala nights – the SDA Commencement Ball. While this event is an opportunity to let our hair down, the SDA also holds a charity fundraiser to help raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor’s Service.

 

Some other events include the Roland Bryant Cup (in association with Sydney University), SDA Halfway Ball, Dent Revue, Futures Night and other social and sporting events to be held throughout the year. Attending these events is a great way to meet and get to know other students from the course!
