This year has started with a bang at UQ. We have introduced a new head of school, Lakshman Samaranayake, who was kind enough to join us for the meet and greet event held by the dental school’s student committee.

 

The night was a great success with many students elated to be able in interact with “Prof Sam” in a more relaxed and informal manner. Prof Sam was previously the Dean of Faculty of Dentistry at The University of Hong Kong and Director of the Prince Phillip Dental Hospital in Hong Kong. We would like to offer our warmest welcome to such a distinguished and accomplished man.

 

Finally, the new Oral Health Centre built by UQ for the dental and BOH student is finally complete. We eagerly anticipate the move there!
