2014 has begun with a bang and the new first years have celebrated joining the dental clan with a Welcome BBQ hosted by JCUDSA sponsored by the student association and mentoring program. There was worry that no students were going to turn up. As the clock struck 5.30pm, the sausage sizzle began. They were entertained with live music by local musician Ray-Lee.  Eating snags with tomato sauce, chicken and vege burgers and of course beer aplenty. It was a hugely successful night with over 100 attendees. After a couple of games of fooseball, our new committee members were announced. Everyone then migrated to the Uni bar to continue the festivities and a good night was had by all.

 

All in all JCU has had an amazing start to the year and it looks like this year will be bigger and better than ever before!
