From the 3rd of July to the 8th of July 2012, dental students from across Australia ventured to Sydney for ADSA’s Annual Convention.

While at night we partied away, during the day we had an amazing academic program. We had some great experts speaking to us on topics with the open panel discussions were particularly popular, with students having the opportunity to ask questions to specialists.

​

​Opening night’s Frat Party themed Trivia and Games Night went off with a bang, with more than a few conventioners getting stuck into the silly water earlier than expected!

​

​The Golf themed pub crawl was one of the best nights of convention with students running amuck around different bars in Sydney. Everybody managed to make it back to the Shark Hotel for cheap drinks, groove busting and more than one drunken dental smooch between delegates.

​

​Thursday afternoon was an Amazing Race style ‘Tour De Syd’ seeing students racing around Sydney looking for clues. That night was the Harry Potter evening, perhaps the most eagerly anticipated of nights from our nerdy cohort, unfortunately we were hit with a particularly wet spell, but an enchanting ‘indoor’ evening was had by all that attended.

​The Naughty but Nautical boat cruise on Friday night was the biggest event EVER hosted by ADSA, with over 360 dental students all aboard one small little vessel in the middle of the iconic Sydney Harbour.

​

Finally we concluded with the fabulous cocktail evening at Waterbar in Wolloomooloo. A photo booth, fancy pants drinky-poos and a whole host of hot looking delegates was the perfect recipe for an amazing night to end an amazing week in one amazing city.
